POTENTIAL IN BACKLANDS – New Build Development
Government and Local Councils are still tackling with the Housing Crisis throughout the UK, thus backland developments are one of the best possible ways to ease Councils` housing stock problems.
Upon the purchase of the existing house, our client contacted us to look into the feasibility study of the possibility of new development in this backland space. The existing house has a huge bungalow-style vacant building at the back. After the demolition of this unutilised bungalow, we were able to propose 3 new family size dwelling houses with allocated car parking for each dwelling, good size rear gardens, bicycle storage spaces and waste storage spaces.
The backland developments can be seen as small sites, however, they are one of the important sites to ease housing crisis throughout the UK.
